SCOTUS dismisses Prop 8; California can resume same-sex marriages. KPCC asks: How does decision affect you?

The Supreme Court on Wednesday struck down the Defense of Marriage Act as unconstitutional and dismissed Prop 8 on standing, meaning same-sex marriages can resume in California.

Palms Park Movie Nights this Summer

Palms Park will be showing free movies under the stars this summer. The fun, sponsored by the Westside Neighborhood Council, begins Wednesday, June 26 with Despicable Me beginning at dusk (8-8:30 pm).

Bring blankets and chairs. Popcorn, hot chocolate and candy can be purchased.

The LAPD has issued the following traffic information for President Obama's visit to West LA and Santa Monica today. Here are the areas to avoid:
