Arborcide of Canopy Trees

I read a recent article about the importance of nature in children's daily lives. Many movies geared toward children have trees, or a mother tree, as a sacred entity.

My daughter loves/loved climbing and sitting in the trees that are now being cut down, one of which is already in pieces on Rancho Park Field. The fence around the area is screened, but one does not need a clear view to sense the absence of something that was there before, it is like a phantom limb. The two remaining…
