Arborcide of Canopy Trees

I read a recent article about the importance of nature in children's daily lives. Many movies geared toward children have trees, or a mother tree, as a sacred entity.

My daughter loves/loved climbing and sitting in the trees that are now being cut down, one of which is already in pieces on Rancho Park Field. Palms Rancho Park Fenced Off

Hello-

Does anyone know about the plans in store for the Palms Rancho Park? The grassy field is fenced off and there are no signs or explanations posted. I inquired at the Palms Recreation Center and was given little if any information about the plans for the field. Went to Rancho Park Pharmacy today to mail a package and pick up a refill RX.I noticed the last few times in my favorite Derek hasn't been around and asked about it.It turns out he's leaving and training new customer service folks but he's leaving to attend USC Pharmacy school so congrats to you Derek and hope you come back there with the degree!.

Police Activity

Does anyone know what was going on on Pico with the strong police presence right after noon today with the 7 Blue Bus parked by the paint store.Traffic was blocked both ways for several blocks and there were a lot of guns drawn and they finally entered the bus.

Obama and Clooney end their meeting with hoops at the Rancho Park Golf Course

The day after President Barack Obama visited L.A. for his 10th visit, he reported played basketball with George Clooney and Tobey Maguire at the Cheviot Hills Recreation Center at the Rancho Park Golf Course, according to Devin Dwyer of ABC News.
