Construction on the phase two of the Expo Line does not need to halt before the Supreme Court hears the case. That is the ruling from California's highest court regarding a request to stay construction until Neighbors for Smart Rail appeal has been decided.
Streetsblog LA reported this, along with news of a settlement between a group of homeowners and LADOT on bike path construction for the portion of the bike path that runs through Cheviot Hills and Rancho Park. According to the story, in exchange for the home owners dropping their lawsuit, LADOT will make design provisions including extra lighting and a privacy wall.
