KPCC asks: Have you been priced out of a neighborhood?

L.A. neighborhoods are changing: Demographics shift. Businesses open and shutter. Residents are forced to adapt and, sometimes, move.

In February, KPCC's Crawford Family Forum went to Highland Park—a rapidly changing neighborhood—to hold an an off-site conversation focused on "Changing Neighborhoods: Tradition, Transition, and Gentrification i..." (Click the link to hear audio of the panel.) Panelists spoke of urban planning, community stories and artwork, and the battle for historical preservation. As audience members and panelists turned their attention to housing, an important issue was raised: displacement.

We want to hear more about that from you. Have you or someone you know been priced out of a neighborhood you lived in for many years?

Please click here to share your insights.

(Thank you to everyone who has previously responded to one of our questions. We're working on our first Take Two soundscape feature now.)
