Jane Richardone commented on Overland Avenue's blog post Westside Neighborhood Council -- Bike Lanes On Westwood?!?
"I agree, Barney.  Being against bike lanes on Westwood is not being *against* bike lanes.  I am all for them where appropriate & safe.  Unfortunately, Westwood Blvd is neither."

Jane Richardone commented on Overland Avenue's blog post Westside Neighborhood Council -- Bike Lanes On Westwood?!?
"I am terrified by the thought.  Westwood is horribly congested as it is & adding bike lanes can only make things worse.  "

Profile Information

A little about me:
Grew up in Rancho Park in the 50s & 60s when it was like Mayberry. Went to St. Timothy School (second graduating class in 1964) & Notre Dame Academy (class of '68). Love Rancho Park & always will. Would love to see old pictures taken in the 50s to 70s.
I'm in Rancho Park because
I have fun here, I tell other people what to do here, My interests vary
Rancho Park flavor is best at
Food L.A., Westside Tavern, John O'Groats
Play time in Rancho Park is best at
Rancho Park Golf Course
My Rancho Park style comes from
The Westside Pavilion
My favorite place in Rancho Park is:
All of it.
My Rancho Park hangout is
"the Pav"
Growing up in Rancho Park, I remember:
Mert's Market, El Rancho Bakery, Kiddieland (before the Westside Pavilion was there), cherry Cokes at Pico Drug, seeing "Hard Day's Night" numerous times at the Picwood Theatre, taking the #8 bus to Westwood on Friday nights, Halloween.

Unfortunately, I went online and read about Lenny's Deli (which used to be in Pacific Palisades, but is now closed)...

and it did not sound too swell.  I am not much of a deli person but as a longtime Rancho Park resident I will always miss Junior's.  It doesn't sound like Lenny's is going to be a worthy replacement.  If Junior's had to go, how I wish Porto's had taken its place.

Google it and see what you think.

And I am really unhappy about the new Century City parking fees.  Grrrr!
