Unfortunately, I went online and read about Lenny's Deli (which used to be in Pacific Palisades, but is now closed)...

and it did not sound too swell.  I am not much of a deli person but as a longtime Rancho Park resident I will always miss Junior's.  It doesn't sound like Lenny's is going to be a worthy replacement.  If Junior's had to go, how I wish Porto's had taken its place.Google it and see what you think.And I am really unhappy about the new Century City parking fees.  Grrrr!See More

A little about me:
Grew up in Rancho Park in the 50s & 60s when it was like Mayberry. Went to St. Timothy School (second graduating class in 1964) & Notre Dame Academy (class of '68). Love Rancho Park & always will. Would love to see old pictures taken in the 50s to 70s.

Growing up in Rancho Park, I remember:
Mert's Market, El Rancho Bakery, Kiddieland (before the Westside Pavilion was there), cherry Cokes at Pico Drug, seeing "Hard Day's Night" numerous times at the Picwood Theatre, taking the #8 bus to Westwood on Friday nights, Halloween.
