Expo Line Legal News: Appeals Court Affirms Earlier Decision to Keep Expo Line Phase Two Project on Track

An appeals court has affirmed Judge Thomas McKnew's earlier decision to deny the lawsuit challenging Phase Two of the Expo Line, which goes from Culver City through Rancho Park to Santa Monica.

They write:

"We find no merit in petitioner's contentions and affirm the judgment."

Rancho Park Expo Line Construction NoticeExpo construction crews will be relocating existing gas pipelines at Military Ave and Exposition Blvd, along the MTA right of way. A Plea For a Westside Transportation/Land Use Plan

Pico Repaving -- At Last! February 25th & 26th

Last year Pico was repaved from Beverly Glen to Westwood.  The balance, to the 405 was put "on hold" while there is bridge widening and other improvements going on under the 405 at Pico.

The good news is that the section of Pico between Westwood and Sepulveda will now be repaved (Sepulveda to the 405 must wait until the bridge and other roadwork is completed).  The re-paving will be done over the weekend of February 25th in order to reduce business impacts, traffic disruption, and…

I'm not new to Rancho Park, but I am new to the route around the mall. I'm sure you all have seen me walking around in your neighborhood. I just want you all to know that the mail carriers in your neighborhoods have been put through so much. Honestly, I think the people making these drastic changes in the postal service are doing it purposely to get what they need from Congress. It's all political and we the mail carriers are the frontline....so we get the bulk of complaints.

Rancho Park Home Burglary Updates and Tips to Prevent Break-Ins

Earlier today helicopters hovered over the Rancho Park blocks west of Westwood Blvd. and south of Exposition and police closed off several streets looking for someone suspected of  breaking into a Veteran Ave home.
